The research in brief

Renewal by Andersen is the consensus leader for entry door replacement in this 7-platform AI study, named by 6 of 7 platforms with an average listed position of 2.67 and a best position of 1. Therma-Tru and Pella tie on platform mentions (6 each, 85.7% share) and are the strongest alternatives for buyers who want a manufacturer-led fiberglass system installed by an independent dealer rather than a single national replacement contractor. ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door holds the best average listed position of any entity (1.6) but was named by only 5 platforms. The study covered 7 AI platforms, 25 unique entities, and 8 qualifying entities. The principal limitation: platform answers are market intelligence, not independent customer reviews, and company-owned citations materially outnumber independent ones for several entities.

1. Renewal by Andersen

Questions explored

  • Is Renewal by Andersen worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they need a documented ASTM F476 security grade?
  • Is Renewal by Andersen or Therma-Tru better for entry door replacement when price transparency matters?

Renewal by Andersen is the consensus leader and a mixed-to-good fit. It is the only entity named by 6 of 7 platforms that also holds a best position of 1, and its Ensemble replacement entry door system is the product most platforms mapped to this use case. The verdict across platforms is consistent on capability and inconsistent on execution: strong product engineering, weak price transparency, and materially divergent customer-satisfaction evidence.

Why it ranked here. Six platforms named it, with ranks of 1 (Claude, Kimi), 2 (Grok), 3 (DeepSeek), 4 (Gemini) and 5 (ChatGPT). No other entity combines that mention breadth with a top-position placement on two platforms.

Best suited for. Homeowners who want one company to handle measurement, full-frame replacement and installation rather than sourcing a door and installer separately [140]. Projects needing replacement of the door, frame, sill, weather seals, sidelights or related entry components. Buyers wanting Fibrex/composite or fiberglass construction with configurable glass and hardware.

Main strengths for the use case. The Ensemble system is described as a continuous dual-composite Fibrex door with a fiberglass frame, reinforced fiberglass panels, foam filling and a rain-management sill system, with five design families, 38 styles and multiple glass and hardware combinations [123]. With the optional mortise locking assembly, the company states the system achieves Grade 30 on cylinder body pull, cylinder pull and jamb spread tests and Grade 40 on other referenced ASTM F476 tests [149]. NFRC records list Renewal by Andersen hinged-inswing entry-door configurations with published U-factor and SHGC data, including a listed U-factor of 0.17 for one flush-door configuration [278]. The stated warranty is 20 years on glass and Fibrex material, 10 years on locks, hinges and other components, and 2 years on professional installation [43].

Main limitations. No standard national entry-door price was verified on public materials; public consumer discussions report quotes ranging from roughly $13,000 to more than $20,000 for entry-door projects, but these are anecdotal [369]. The strongest security rating applies only to specified mortise-lock configurations, not automatically to every quoted door.

2. Therma-Tru

Questions explored

  • Is Therma-Tru worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they need a complete Tru-Defense frame, sill and multi-point lock system?
  • What should a buyer check before choosing Therma-Tru for entry door replacement if they live within five miles of salt water?

Therma-Tru is a good fit and the strongest manufacturer-led alternative to Renewal by Andersen. It ties on platform mentions (6) and trails only slightly on average listed position (2.83 versus 2.67). The purchase is strongest when a reputable local dealer supplies a fully specified Classic-Craft, Fiber-Classic or Smooth-Star Tru-Defense system and a well-vetted installer provides a separate, explicit workmanship warranty.

Why it ranked here. Six platforms named it, with ranks of 2 (DeepSeek, ChatGPT), 3 (Claude, Gemini, Grok) and 4 (Kimi). It never placed first but never fell below fourth.

Best suited for. Replacement of the complete main entry door, frame, sill, weatherstripping and hardware rather than a slab-only swap. Homeowners wanting fiberglass wood-grain or smooth finishes with substantial style and glass options. Projects where documented NFRC or ENERGY STAR performance and a multi-point lock are important.

Main strengths for the use case. A Tru-Defense system can include the door slab, frame, hinges, weatherstrip, sill, sweep, sill pan and multi-point hardware, making the complete system more relevant than a slab-only replacement [183]. Therma-Tru states that more than 85% of its door and glass options qualify for ENERGY STAR, and NFRC ratings are available for qualified products [182]. The multi-point locking system engages the door frame at three points versus one point for traditional deadbolts [169], and the composite door frame is described as up to 50% stronger on average than standard wood frames [169]. The company operates a Certified Door System Installer program with approximately 4,500 certified installers nationwide [162].

Main limitations. Therma-Tru expressly states that it does not guarantee the workmanship of its independent certified installers or handle disputes with them [160]. Warranty exclusions and conditions can be significant, particularly for installation, finish, salt-water exposure, handling and normal wear; installations within five miles of salt water are excluded from multi-point locking system coverage [183]. Multiple recent customer reports indicate pre-finished paint fades prematurely, with some buyers advised to apply clear coat annually [248]. No verified national installed-price schedule or firm lead-time promise was found.

Pricing or cost summary. Quote-based and configuration-dependent.

3. Pella

Questions explored

  • Is Pella worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they want a 10-year installation warranty?
  • Is Pella or Renewal by Andersen better for entry door replacement when full-frame scope and warranty length matter?

Pella is a good fit and the third entity tied at 6 platform mentions. It is the only entity besides Renewal by Andersen and ProVia Signet to hold a best position of 1, placed there by Grok. The main reservations are limited public price transparency, installation and service variability by sales channel, and insufficient independent evidence for model-specific security, energy, lead-time and customer-satisfaction performance.

Why it ranked here. Six platforms named it, with ranks of 1 (Grok), 2 (Gemini), 3 (ChatGPT), 4 (Claude), 5 (DeepSeek) and 6 (Kimi) - the widest rank spread of any top-three entity.

Best suited for. Homeowners wanting a coordinated door, sidelights, transoms, hardware, trim and composite-frame system. Projects requiring removal of the existing frame and a documented full-frame replacement installation. Buyers prioritizing fiberglass durability and curb-appeal customization over lowest initial price.

Main strengths for the use case. Pella publishes a specific full-frame replacement installation category that removes the existing frame [110]. Fiberglass entry doors feature Duracast five-layer fiberglass composite construction and are described as achieving Grade 40 forced-entry resistance under ASTM F842 testing when properly installed with optional footbolts [121]. Entry doors are available with ENERGY STAR certification (2023 Version 7 criteria) and U-factor ranges of 0.21–0.29 depending on glass package [34]. The written warranty states limited-lifetime coverage for nonglass materials and workmanship while the original homeowner owns and occupies the residence, with 20-year coverage for nondecorative glass and labor included only for claims made within two years [39]. The Pella Promise adds a 10-year installation warranty and service agreement [118].

Main limitations. No standardized national installed price or public entry-door price schedule was verified [116]. The Impervia Series is documented primarily as a fiberglass window and patio-door line, so treating Impervia as the entry-door model is unclear and should be verified before purchase [36]. The Pella Care Guarantee is stated to be exclusive to replacement customers using local Pella Window and Door Showrooms, not other retail stores, certified contractors, select contractors or independent contractors [117]. Public BBB complaint records include recent entry-door complaints involving locking, installation, service and perceived quality [314]. Standard manufacturer warranty covers labor for only the first 2 years [14].

Pricing or cost summary. Quote-based.

4. ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door

Questions explored

  • Is the ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they want wood-like curb appeal without a wood slab?
  • What should a buyer check before choosing ProVia Signet if installation quality depends on the local dealer?

ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door holds the best average listed position of any entity in the study (1.6) and was placed first by three platforms, but it was named by only 5 platforms, which is why it ranks fourth overall. It is a strong fit for a homeowner who values premium fiberglass appearance, insulation, customization and a complete dealer-installed replacement system.

Why it ranked here. Five platforms named it, with ranks of 1 (DeepSeek, Gemini, ChatGPT), 2 (Claude) and 3 (Kimi). Its lower mention count - not its placement quality - is what holds it at rank 4.

Best suited for. Homeowners prioritizing wood-like curb appeal without a wood slab. Projects requiring extensive panel, sidelite, glass, stain, glaze, paint and hardware customization. Energy-conscious replacement projects where the specific door configuration is ENERGY STAR certified.

Main strengths for the use case. Signet uses a fiberglass exterior with dovetailed and glued stiles and rails, hardwood hinge and strike stiles, a polyurethane foam core and a composite bottom rail [126]. A 20-gauge security plate is standard on Signet to resist kick-ins [242]. ProVia states that all Signet doors without glass and most models with glass are ENERGY STAR certified, and its catalog reports entry-system U-factors as low as 0.16 under NFRC testing [134]. The basic door unit carries a lifetime limited transferable warranty, with separate terms for frame components, thresholds, weatherstripping, glass, hardware and finishes [135]. Custom widths and heights are available in 1/8" increments [244].

Main limitations. No current manufacturer list price, installed price, standard lead time or cancellation policy was identified in the cited public sources [9]. Security claims are not accompanied by a cited complete-assembly forced-entry rating [130]. Installation is dealer/contractor dependent rather than uniformly performed by ProVia, and the ProVia warranty explicitly excludes installation labor and defects [312]. Customer review consistency is poor: BBB averages 3.12/5 from 97 reviews [312] while PissedConsumer shows 1.7 stars from 30 reviews [276].

Pricing or cost summary. Quote-based through authorized dealers.

5. Long Island Door Co.

Questions explored

  • Is Long Island Door Co. worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a Nassau or Suffolk homeowner choose if they want published installed pricing?
  • What should a buyer check before choosing Long Island Door Co. if they need independently verified reviews?

Long Island Door Co. is a good-to-strong local fit with a significant geographic constraint. It was named by only 2 platforms (Claude and Kimi), which caps its overall rank at 5 despite a best position of 2. It is the only entity in the study with a published installed-price range on its own website.

Why it ranked here. Two platforms named it, with ranks of 6 (Claude) and 2 (Kimi). Its average listed position of 4.0 is the second-best in the study, but the low mention count reflects that most platforms did not surface a regional specialist.

Best suited for. Nassau or Suffolk homeowners wanting a local Therma-Tru fiberglass replacement with installation included. Projects needing a new pre-hung door unit, weatherstripping, threshold and possible framing work. Buyers prioritizing curb appeal, fiberglass durability and a published installed-price range.

Main strengths for the use case. The company publishes installed ranges of $2,800–$5,800 for Therma-Tru fiberglass entry doors and $1,800–$3,400 for steel, including door, hardware, installation labor, weatherstrip, caulk and cleanup [15]. It advertises a 10-year written workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty [15]. It claims Therma-Tru Certified Installer and Andersen ProCertified Contractor status, with fewer than 3% of Long Island door installers carrying both [28]. It claims active Nassau and Suffolk home-improvement licenses, $2 million in insurance and 2,800-plus completed installations since 2011 [17]. It advertises a 4.9-star Google rating with more than 241 reviews [26].

Main limitations. Service area is limited to Nassau and Suffolk counties, New York [15]. Frame and threshold materials are not specified in marketing, so the buyer must verify whether replacement frames are wood, composite, PVC or aluminum and whether thresholds are included or upgraded [15]. The company stocks only Therma-Tru and Andersen brands [29]. The 10-year workmanship warranty is shorter than some competitors' lifetime offers [32]. Custom orders incur 2–4 week lead times, offsetting the one-day install advantage [28]. The claimed 4.9-star rating, certifications, insurance and installation count are company-published and were not independently confirmed in the sources checked [26].

6. Window World

Questions explored

  • Is Window World worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they want a bundled in-home consultation and installed fiberglass door?
  • What should a buyer check before choosing Window World if installation quality varies by franchise?

Window World is a mixed fit. It was named by only 2 platforms (DeepSeek and Perplexity), which caps its rank at 6 despite a best position of 4. The central issue is the franchise model: national product claims are reasonably consistent, but installation quality, labor warranty terms, pricing and lead times vary by locally operated branch.

Why it ranked here. Two platforms named it, with ranks of 8 (DeepSeek) and 4 (Perplexity). Its average listed position of 6.0 reflects that platforms that did surface it placed it mid-to-low.

Best suited for. Homeowners wanting a bundled, in-home design consultation and installed fiberglass entry door. Buyers prioritizing curb appeal, low-maintenance materials, weather resistance and a single-company installation process. Some coastal buyers who specifically need impact-rated entry-door options, subject to local availability and certification verification.

Main strengths for the use case. Window World publicly markets smooth fiberglass, woodgrain fiberglass, modern entry and impact entry-door options, with smooth fiberglass described as paintable and designed not to rot, warp, twist, bow, dent or rust like wood or steel [197]. The company claims smooth fiberglass doors can provide up to four times the insulation value of wood [197]. Independent testing reported a Smooth Fiberglass Door R-Value of 5.2 and U-Factor of 0.14–0.21, and a Woodgrain Entry Door R-Value of 4.6 and U-Factor of 0.17–0.24 [283]. Doors carry ENERGY STAR certification across all four U.S. climate zones with NFRC ratings [189]. The process includes a free in-home consultation, product and color selection, custom ordering and professional installation [199].

Main limitations. No publicly verified ordinary-door forced-entry or security rating or complete lock and hardware specification was found [196]. Full-frame and threshold replacement are not clearly guaranteed in the national service description [196]. No public standard installed price or standard lead time was found [202]. Warranty details for entry doors are less clearly disclosed nationally than the company's window and patio-door warranty details, and one warranty page says additional products such as entry doors may carry the manufacturer warranty rather than the window/patio-door warranty [209]. Franchise-level installation quality, pricing, complaint history and service responsiveness can differ [375].

Pricing or cost summary. Quote-based and franchise-specific.

7. Home Depot

Questions explored

  • Is Home Depot worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they want a prehung door with frame replacement through a retailer?
  • What should a buyer check before choosing Home Depot if installation is performed by an independent local provider?

Home Depot is a good-to-mixed fit. It was named by only 2 platforms (DeepSeek and ChatGPT), which caps its rank at 7 despite a best position of 4. It is the most accessible option in the study for product selection and one-stop coordination, but the evidence on installation execution is the weakest of any qualifying entity.

Why it ranked here. Two platforms named it, with ranks of 10 (DeepSeek) and 4 (ChatGPT). Its average listed position of 7.0 ties with Masonite.

Best suited for. Homeowners seeking a one-stop purchase and installation process. Replacement of the door, jamb/frame and threshold as a prehung unit. Buyers comparing steel, fiberglass, wood, composite, glass, finish, handing and sidelite options.

Main strengths for the use case. Home Depot states that its exterior door installation service includes professional measurement, removal of the old door, installation of the new door and addressing damage when possible, with a stated average purchase-to-completion period of 4–10 weeks [86]. Only prehung doors are available through the Expert Installation service, ensuring the frame is always replaced with a new frame [70]. The JELD-WEN Statement Collection is listed as a customizable fiberglass prehung front door with a starting product price of $1,578 [74]. Installation is performed by local, licensed and insured providers that undergo screening and background checks [86]. Published labor ranges for single entry door installation are $368–$1,378 [86].

Main limitations. No cited standardized security rating for the recommended door configuration [75]. No complete installed price is publicly verifiable before measurement [86]. Installation quality evidence is primarily Home Depot's own claim, not independent performance data [86]. Frame, threshold, sill, weatherproofing and repair scope can vary and may generate additional charges [83]. Product, finish, glass, hardware and labor warranty coverage may be split among Home Depot, the manufacturer and the local installer [75]. Documented customer complaints include scheduling delays, poor communication, measurement errors, hinges installed incorrectly and misaligned frames [323]. One customer reported ordering 5/25/19 and receiving installation only after 7 weeks of delays and order errors [87].

Pricing or cost summary. Product pricing is published; installation labor is not transparently disclosed.

8. Masonite

Questions explored

  • Is Masonite worth it for entry door replacement, and what are its main drawbacks?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they want a fiberglass or steel prehung door with rot-resistant framing?
  • What should a buyer check before choosing Masonite if the manufacturer does not perform installation?

Masonite is a good-to-mixed fit and the lowest-ranked qualifying entity. It was named by only 2 platforms (DeepSeek and Gemini), which caps its rank at 8 despite a best position of 5. The central structural issue is that Masonite is a manufacturer, not an installer: it sells through distributors, dealers and home centers, so installation quality, labor warranty and pricing are controlled by third parties.

Why it ranked here. Two platforms named it, with ranks of 9 (DeepSeek) and 5 (Gemini). Its average listed position of 7.0 ties with Home Depot.

Best suited for. Homeowners wanting a fiberglass or steel prehung replacement rather than a custom architectural wood door. Projects prioritizing insulation, design variety, rot-resistant or composite framing and retail/dealer availability. Buyers willing to obtain installation through a qualified local dealer or contractor.

Main strengths for the use case. Masonite supports complete prehung replacement units, and its Performance Door System includes a rot-resistant or composite frame, sill, sill pan, weatherstripping, corner pads and door bottom/sweep [98]. The Performance Door System can include M-Protect multi-point locking, and Masonite states that its tested door configuration was four times stronger than a standard deadbolt, though results vary by door style and testing was performed without glass [98]. Masonite VistaGrande Flush-Glazed fiberglass doors achieve R-Value of 6.2 with U-Factor 0.12–0.18, and steel doors achieve R-Value 5.4 with U-Factor 0.13–0.20 [283]. The Performance Door System advertises a 10-year limited full-replacement warranty covering the door and reinstallation, plus limited lifetime coverage for specified components [98]. Belleville fiberglass doors carry a limited lifetime warranty on the door slab for the original owner [275].

Main limitations. Masonite is primarily a product manufacturer, not a single end-to-end national replacement installer [100]. Installed pricing, lead time, labor warranty and workmanship accountability vary by dealer or contractor [100]. Masonite requires exterior doors to be finished within 45 days, with all six sides sealed according to its instructions; trimming or modifying an exterior fiberglass or steel door voids the warranty [100]. Independent evidence is mixed: BBB lists 14 complaints over the prior three years for the profiled Masonite Corporation locations and states that the company is not BBB accredited [313].

What this study reveals

Questions explored

  • What does a 7-platform AI consensus reveal about how entry door replacement companies are recommended?
  • Which entry door replacement companies are named most consistently across AI platforms, and which are named only regionally?

Three structural patterns emerge from this study.

First, the market splits into three distinct business models, and platforms recommend them for different reasons. Manufacturer-led systems (Therma-Tru, Pella, ProVia Signet, Masonite) are recommended for product specification, frame and sill engineering, and documented performance data. Full-service replacement contractors (Renewal by Andersen, Window World) are recommended for single-accountability installation and warranty. Retail and regional channels (Home Depot, Long Island Door Co.) are recommended for accessibility, published pricing or local service. No single entity is recommended as best across all three models.

Second, mention breadth and placement quality diverge. Renewal by Andersen, Therma-Tru and Pella each appeared on 6 platforms, but their average listed positions range from 2.67 to 3.50. ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door has the best average listed position in the study (1.6) but appeared on only 5 platforms. Long Island Door Co. has the second-best average listed position (4.0) but appeared on only 2.

Where the AI Platforms Agreed

Questions explored

  • On which entry door replacement factors did all AI platforms agree?
  • Which entry door replacement companies were consistently described as having strong product engineering but weak price transparency?

Platforms agreed on several material points.

Product engineering strengths. Platforms consistently described Renewal by Andersen's Ensemble system as a dual-composite Fibrex and fiberglass construction with foam-filled panels, a rain-management sill and configurable security hardware [123]. They consistently described Therma-Tru's Tru-Defense system as a complete door system including frame, threshold and multi-point locking [164]. They consistently described ProVia Signet as a highly customizable fiberglass door with woodgrain finishes and a polyurethane foam core [126].

Price transparency as a shared limitation. Every platform that assessed Renewal by Andersen, Therma-Tru, Pella, ProVia Signet, Window World or Masonite flagged price transparency as a limitation or unclear factor [369].

Installation accountability as a shared risk. Platforms agreed that manufacturer-led entities do not control installation workmanship. Therma-Tru expressly states it does not guarantee its independent certified installers' workmanship [160]. Pella's warranty and service experience varies by purchase channel [117].

Where the AI Platforms Disagreed

Questions explored

  • Where did AI platforms disagree about the best entry door replacement companies?
  • Which entry door replacement company has the most conflicting customer review evidence across platforms?

Platforms disagreed materially on five points.

Fit ratings. Of the 8 qualifying entities, only ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door received a strong rating from a majority of assessing platforms (4 of 7). Renewal by Andersen, Therma-Tru, Pella, Window World, Home Depot and Masonite all received a mix of good, mixed and uncertain ratings. Long Island Door Co. received strong, good, mixed and uncertain ratings across different platforms.

Customer review evidence. The widest divergence is Renewal by Andersen: company-hosted reviews show 4.8/5 on 18,742 reviews [149] while Yelp shows 2.3/5 from 2,616 reviews [390] - a 2.5-point gap. Therma-Tru shows a similar pattern: Lowe's Fiber-Classic reviews average 4.4/5 [357] while PissedConsumer shows 1.6/5 [287]. Window World shows BBB 4.8/5 [383] against PissedConsumer 1.7/5 [300].

How to compare your options

Questions explored

  • How should a homeowner choose among the top entry door replacement companies for a full-frame replacement?
  • Which entry door replacement company should a buyer choose if they need a documented security rating and a written labor warranty?
  • What should a buyer verify in writing before signing an entry door replacement contract?

Buyers should choose based on which of three decision criteria matters most.

If single-company accountability is the priority, Renewal by Andersen is the consensus leader. It is the only entity that combines a full-frame replacement service, in-home consultation, professional installation and a transferable limited warranty covering product and installation [398]. The tradeoff is high and variable pricing with limited public transparency, and a 2-year installation warranty that is shorter than the 20-year product warranty [43].

If documented product specification is the priority, Therma-Tru, Pella and ProVia Signet are the strongest options. Therma-Tru offers a complete Tru-Defense system with multi-point locking and a composite frame described as 50% stronger than wood [169]. Pella publishes a full-frame replacement category and Duracast fiberglass construction with Grade 40 ASTM F842 testing on qualifying configurations [121]. ProVia Signet offers the best average listed position in the study and the most extensive customization, with a 20-gauge security plate standard [242].

Methodology

This study used one standardized prompt sent once to each of 7 included AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Grok, Perplexity, Kimi and Gemini. The prompt asked each platform to identify the best window and door replacement companies for entry door replacement in the United States in 2026, targeting a homeowner replacing the main entrance door and frame while balancing security, insulation and kerb appeal.

Platform responses were collected on the authoritative run research date of 2026-10-02. Platform-reported research dates are provenance metadata and do not independently prove freshness; one platform (DeepSeek) reported dates of 2026-01-15 and 2026-06-11 across entities, which differ from the authoritative run date.

Entities were extracted from platform responses, normalized to canonical company names, and qualified for the final ranking if named by at least two platforms during ranking discovery. Platform mentions count only ranking-discovery mentions; they do not reflect the number of platforms that later completed a fit assessment. The final ranking order is based on platform mentions, then average listed rank, then best listed rank.

The final ranking table is the sole authority for rank, platform mentions, platform share, average rank and best rank. Entity evidence bundles are the authority for buyer fit, features, pricing, strengths, limitations, disagreements and citations. Citations are platform-reported evidence, not independently verified facts.

Research limitations

Several limitations apply to this study.

Single-prompt design. The study used one standardized prompt sent once to each platform. AI answers can vary by date, wording, location, account state, model, interface, browsing configuration and the sources retrieved. A different prompt or a different day could produce different results.

Platform-reported evidence. Citations are platform-reported evidence, not independently verified facts. No-search model claims require explicit verification before being described as current facts. One platform (DeepSeek) had search disabled during this run, so its claims are model-reported rather than retrieval-backed.

Company-owned source imbalance. Company-owned citations materially outnumber independent citations for several entities. Renewal by Andersen: 38 owned versus 26 independent. Pella: 36 owned versus 17 independent. Window World: 51 owned versus 16 independent. Company claims should not be described as independently verified.

Platform date discrepancies. Platform-reported research dates differ from the authoritative run date. Deepseek reported 2026-01-15 for some entities and 2026-06-11 for others, while the authoritative run date is 2026-10-02. These dates are provenance metadata and do not independently prove freshness.

Identity normalization. Official-site retrieval failed for one or more mentions for several entities, and no failed fetch was used as a verified domain key. Company-name variants were collapsed onto one canonical brand before minimum-mentions qualification.

The consensus assessment

Renewal by Andersen is the consensus leader for entry door replacement in this 7-platform study, named by 6 of 7 platforms with an average listed position of 2.67. It is the strongest choice for homeowners who want one accountable company to handle measurement, full-frame replacement, installation and warranty.

Therma-Tru and Pella are the strongest alternatives for buyers who want a manufacturer-led fiberglass system with documented frame, sill and security engineering, installed by an independent dealer. Both tie on platform mentions (6 each) and both require the buyer to vet the local installer independently.

ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door holds the best average listed position in the study (1.6) and is the strongest choice for buyers who prioritize wood-like curb appeal and extensive customization, but it was named by only 5 platforms and its installation quality depends entirely on the local dealer.

Long Island Door Co. is the strongest regional option for Nassau and Suffolk homeowners, with published installed pricing and a stated 10-year workmanship warranty, but its service area is limited and most of its evidence is company-published.

Window World, Home Depot and Masonite offer lower entry price points and broader accessibility, but each carries material installation-accountability risk: franchise-dependent quality for Window World, independent-provider variability for Home Depot, and no installation service at all for Masonite.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which entry door replacement company is best overall?

Renewal by Andersen is the consensus leader, named by 6 of 7 platforms with an average listed position of 2.67 and a best position of 1. It is best for homeowners who want one company to handle measurement, full-frame replacement, installation and warranty.

Is Renewal by Andersen or Therma-Tru better for entry door replacement?

Renewal by Andersen ranks first and Therma-Tru second, but they serve different buyer needs. Renewal by Andersen is a full-service replacement contractor with a single accountable company. Therma-Tru is a manufacturer whose products are installed by independent certified dealers, and Therma-Tru expressly does not guarantee installer workmanship.

Which entry door replacement company has the best average listed position?

ProVia Signet Fiberglass Entry Door has the best average listed position in the study at 1.6, placed first by three platforms. It ranks fourth overall because it was named by only 5 platforms.

Do any of these companies publish installed entry door prices?

Only Long Island Door Co. publishes installed-price ranges on its own website: $2,800–$5,800 for Therma-Tru fiberglass and $1,800–$3,400 for steel. Home Depot publishes product prices and labor ranges but not a complete installed price before measurement. All other entities use quote-based or dealer-based pricing.
